Daniel's Fan Club

There is about an hour or so drive from our house to the hospital where Daniel was born. It's sometimes hard to judge just how these things will play out and we initially thought it would take a little longer than it really did, but I had a sense that time was running short and asked Jeremiah to call Mom just to be sure they were on their way. We timed it just right that Granny and the children arrived at the hospital just about the time Daniel was born. When they finished cleaning him up, Jeremiah went and got them. They were able to meet him only 20 minutes after his birth. They had just handed him back to me so I was able to get a kiss or two in before the rest of his fan club held him. :-)

You can see the excitement in their faces! Finally! At long last, our baby Daniel is here!

Sam's attention span isn't very long, so Daddy pushed him around on the stool. :-)

I think Hannah had given up hope that he was actually coming! LOL We had been telling her for weeks that it would be soon. One of the first things she said was, "I love this baby."

Each brother and sister got a turn to hold him. As you can see,
Hannah was not far from Daniel, no matter who was holding him.

She asked us if she could take him home and was disappointed to hear
that she'd have to leave him with me at the hospital.
