Snow Day!

You can see how dry and powdery the snow was.

This picture explains why Noah was the first one back in the house!
It's like he rolled around in the snow! Crazy boy.

I initially wasn't going to take Samuel out, but who can resist that face?

For some reason, he looks so grown up here, to me anyway.
He is so proud of those rubber boots he bought with his own money. At least his feet stayed warm!

The chickens were cold! All huddled together to keep warm!

Emily had so many layers of clothing on Hannah that I'm
surprised she could actually bend over to get any snow!

"Snow Plow" Seth LOL It wasn't a wet kinda snow that makes for good
snowmen or snowballs. They tried, though.

Samuel had a blast playing in the snow, but none of the children stayed out very long. We just aren't equipped for snow. Mittens don't keep out the wet and make little hands that much colder and the wind was crazy windy, too.

And after playing in the snow, the only thing to do is
drink some hot chocolate!
