I was a bit disappointed with the pictures they gave us from the ultrasound. This one is by far, the best, but still a bit scary. You can see his head on the left and the little white spot in the middle at the top is his hand all curled up. We did get to see his feet and toes and hands. It's so amazing that as tiny as he is, he is so perfectly formed by an Awesome Creator - GOD! We are so blessed. We consider it an awesome privilege and responsibility to raise these children for Him. We are humbled that God would allow us to be used by Him in this way.
Thus saith the Lord, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls.Jeremiah 6:16a

It's a Boy!
Today was the big day! We had the usual mid-pregnancy ultrasound. They call it the anatomy ultrasound. They check to make sure all the major organs are in place and functioning correctly. We found out almost immediately that we are expecting another baby boy into our home in September. Daniel Pyles. We are so very excited. He appears to be growing healthy and strong and we are thanking God for a healthy baby! We were really expecting to be told that we were having another girl. We know that God has a plan and a purpose and we are anxious to see what He has in store for this little fella. (He'll most certainly have to be a tough little guy to be Samuel's little brother! LOL) I can't wait to see how he and Samuel bond and the different dynamics there might be in their relationship being two boys close in age. We've never experienced that. It will be so much fun. It will also be fun to have our Hannah as the baby girl. I'm sure that she will mother Samuel and Daniel to pieces! LOL (I absolutely LOVE being able to call him by name!)

So, now comes the fun part of preparing for Daniel's arrival. I can't wait to hold this little bundle in my arms and tell him the Story of Jesus.
