Our Christmas Eve

Our Christmas Eve was buzzing with activity. I was up early to put the chili in the crockpot and bake a few more cookies before Patti (Nana) came up to the house and needed the oven.

Patti, Leah and Emily baked pies today; apple, pumpkin and chocolate. Yum!
No more midnight marathon wrapping sessions for me!
I got it all done (except for one) before we went to church! Jeremiah worked half-day and came home about lunch time. After lunch the kids watched a movie while I prepared the casserole for Christmas Brunch and finished wrapping.
At 6pm we had a Christmas Communion Service at church. It was a very special time.

After church we had our chili and other yummy foods and then Daddy said the kids could open a special family gift. It was a Monopoly Electronic Banking. No more money! The kids have been on a Monopoly playing binge here lately, so Daddy thought that might be more fun for them.

Nana also gave them each a gift from Jeremiah's cousin in Ohio, Russie. She crocheted each of them an adorable little penguin. I absolutely LOVE them! Aren't they just too cute? Thank you, Russie.
At one point, Hannah was trying to walk amidst all the children in the floor and she fell into one of her presents from Nana and Papaw. Well, this led to Hannah opening the said gift and boy did she love it!
