Math Lesson

One of Abigail's math lessons this week was learning about measurements and how to read a recipe. Now, this is not something we necessarily needed a math lesson for as we spend a lot of time in the kitchen and our children are already learning these skills. However, when you call it a math lesson, well, it's a fabulous opportunity to make learning 'fun' and memorable. Hey, every teacher needs some brownie points once in a while! LOL Now, it just so happened that Noah's phonics lessons were on learning the letter 'Aa' and we were talking about apples this week, so we invited him to join the fun and when you are in the kitchen at our house, you are usually in the kitchen with Hannah. So, here are my three little chefs making Apple Jack Cookies (a recipe found in the math book we use).

Hannah carefully cracks the egg into the bowl.

Abby beats it all together.

Mr. Muscles is chopping the apple.

Pouring in the dry ingredients

Stirring in the apples

The finished product was yummy!
