A Day at the Park

Today was a beautiful day, so we called some friends to see if they wanted to have a picnic at the park. It's Spring Break for the public schools around here this week and even though I had not planned to take this week off, when the weather is so pretty like this, it's hard to stay inside. In addition, our library books were due back today, so we had an "excuse" to go to town. Sunshine and fresh air are certainly something this mama needed after lots of rainy weather.

Here is the whole gaggle of children! My 5, Lynn's 4 and her 2 nephews.

Sweet Hannah getting ready for a ride in the stroller.

I guess Hannah decided to return the favor
since she is the one always getting pushed around.

After our picnic and a couple of hours at the park, we headed over to the library. The library and the park are two of their favorite things to do. To go to both places in the same day is certainly something to get excited about.
Here is Seth patiently waiting while the others finish picking out their books.

Abigail is quite particular about what books she picks out. Usually, she finds books about horses or with horses in them. Today she surprised me by picking our some nature books about birds and flowers. Hmmm. Maybe she's got spring fever!
