Mission Trip - We're couting down

We are at T minus 36 hours until we leave for Cherokee. Give or take an hour depending on our pastor's sermon length! We are so very anxious to arrive and start sharing the gospel with those precious children. We will get to attend services at the church on the Reservation on Sunday evening. They had 3 souls saved this past Sunday!

The children and I have been busy this week, getting laundry done, clothes ironed and packed and making sure both the refrigerators are cleaned out so we don't come home to prize-winning science fair projects! Tomorrow, Jeremiah will get the oil changed in the van and get everything loaded up.

I am really excited about the lessons. They chose the Good Samaritan account from the Bible and we will be talking about these four aspects; compassion, love, sacrifice and reward. As you can see, they will flow very nicely into sharing with these children about salvation. Only four lessons because on Friday we are moving the whole VBS about an hour away to the area called Snowbird. We are told they are the forgotten people of the Eastern Cherokee Tribe. We will be condensing our lessons into one lesson that day and feeding them and also giving away school shoes, groceries, school clothing and school supply vouchers.

Please pray for these Cherokee People whom our Lord loves as much as he loves us, for our family and the entire team as we go in Jesus' Name to share the gospel with them. I (Stephenie) have been under attack in the last couple of weeks with some different pregnancy-related health problems. Nothing serious, just enough to make it difficult on me. We know the devil doesn't want us to go and we are asking God to use us for His glory, because we will not be swayed in going. Jeremiah had an unusually difficult week at work but he made it through and now we are so very anxious to leave.

Thank you again, to all who helped us financially be able to go. We know there will be many souls laid up to your account in Heaven one day because you helped us to go and share the gospel with these lost souls.

We will have internet access at the hotel, but I can't promise any posts because I just don't know how things will play out. However, you can be sure that once we arrive home, there will be lots of pictures and reports of how things went.
