Fun with Friends

Hannah's 1st boat ride!

Today we were invited to Bro. Glenn and Sis. Eula's (friends from church) home for a cookout and a ride on their boat. They even invited Aunt Jessie and I think she enjoyed it, too! We had such a fun, enjoyable day visiting with them. When we arrived this morning, Emily and Abigial helped make some cupcakes and while they baked, we played Scrabble and Noah worked on a puzzle. Then it was down to the water to ride on the boat. Other than Seth (when he went fishing with Uncle Stephen and Grandad) and Emily (when she was 4-months old) none of the children had been on a boat before. Bro. Glenn gave each child a turn at driving the boat. Some were more careful than others. (Hannah drove us in a complete circle!) After lunch, Bro. Glenn took the kids out to his worm farm and they dug up some worms to go fishing. We then went back down to the dock and they caught quite a few little Blue Gills. After all that fun, we sat around the house for a while and visited and then headed home. A full day of fun, fishing and friends!

I love, love, love this picture! Bro. Glenn told her this was how they steer the boat and he would pull her hair gently to the right or left. So funny! He loves to tease us.
